Singapore Airlines (SQ, Singapore Changi) and ANA - All Nippon Airways (NH, Tokyo Haneda) have received interim authorisation from the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission to plan the expansion of their joint venture to Australia, ahead of a proposed five-year approval. The Star Alliance carriers could share revenue on ANA's direct Australia-Japan flights and Singapore Airlines' one-stop options via Singapore Changi, while coordinating pricing, schedules, capacity, marketing, and operations. The broader agreement covers India, Indonesia, and Malaysia, plus commercial cooperation in select Asian and African markets.
