MYAirline (MYM, Kuala Lumpur Subang) co-founder Goh Hwan Hua and 15 companies he controlled have been ordered to repay MYR67.6 million ringgit (USD16.5 million) to 206 investors, according to a July 16, 2026, Kuala Lumpur High Court order seen by The Edge Malaysia newspaper.
The defendants are jointly and severally liable for the repayment. The court also ordered them to pay MYR80,000 (USD19,600) in costs, pre-judgment interest at the fixed-deposit rate, and annual post-judgment interest of 5%.
Judge Leong Wai Hong declared that the defendants had operated as a single economic unit within an illegal deposit-taking Ponzi or pyramid scheme, with Goh as its controlling mind. The court declared the investment agreements void from the outset and found that the defendants had committed fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
The judgment was entered in default after the defendants failed to enter an appearance or file a defence despite being served. The investors filed the fresh lawsuit on February 28, 2025, alleging that they had been induced to place funds into the scheme through promises of guaranteed monthly returns.
In a separate case, as previously reported by ch-aviation, the High Court ordered Goh and four related companies in September 2025 to repay 15 investors MYR7.6 million (USD1.9 million) and SGD170,000 Singaporean dollars (USD131,900).
Goh co-founded MYAirline, which suspended operations in October 2023, less than a year after launching scheduled services. The Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia revoked its air operator's certificate effective April 2024.
Goh was arrested in October 2023 and later released on police bail, while the Malaysian Attorney General's Chambers said in November 2025 that investigations stemming from probes into i-Serve Online Mall and related companies remained ongoing.
