Korean Air (KE, Seoul Incheon) has delayed its KRW750 billion won (USD525 million) acquisition of the remaining 80% of Korean Air C&D Service for a second time, moving the closing date to August 31, 2026. The transaction was initially scheduled to close on June 1 before the airline revised the date to July 31. The South Korean airline has attributed the latest postponement to delayed business-combination clearance from the South Korean Fair Trade Commission. The airline will own 100% of the inflight catering and duty-free sales company after completion.
