South Africa's CFS Aviation Group has announced it has completed the relocation of its primary base of operations from Johannesburg Lanseria to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, establishing the latter as its headquarters and main operational hub as part of its growth strategy. Using Fireblade Aviation (OPM, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) facilities, the move provides CFS with expanded infrastructure, connectivity, and improved facilities, including customs, immigration, lounges, and additional hangar capacity. The aircraft management and operations company will, however, continue to operate from Lanseria, giving customers access to both airports, the company said in a statement.
The relocation was first disclosed in an interview with ch-aviation in July, during which CFS also announced the launch of SoterJets, Africa's first fully commercial fractional business jet ownership company.
