Boeing (BOE, Washington National) will sell its three electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) subsidiaries - Wisk Aero, SkyGrid, and Isitu - to Archer Aviation in exchange for a minority stake in the eVTOL developer. The transaction is set to create an "end-to-end physical AI platform for aerospace and defence" centred on collaboration and technology-sharing. According to regulatory filings, Boeing's investment in the start-up equates to 19.75% of Archer's Class A common stock, and includes options to acquire additional shares over the next four years.
