SunExpress (XQ, Antalya) could accelerate the retirement of its B737-800s as persistently high fuel prices increase pressure to operate a more fuel-efficient fleet. The move is also being supported by the continued punctual delivery of new B737-8s, with 11 aircraft expected in 2027. The leisure carrier said its fleet planning is guided by market demand, fleet modernisation, and sustainable growth objectives. SunExpress currently operates fifty-eight B737-800s and twenty-eight B737-8s, according to ch-aviation data. A further thirty-four B737-8s are still to be delivered, along with thirty B737-10s.
