Loganair (LM, Glasgow International) will close its Dundee base when it ends its public service obligation (PSO) route between the Scottish coastal city and London Heathrow on October 23, 2026, after extending a previously announced September closure. This will leave Dundee without any air services as Loganair is currently the only airline serving the airport. The carrier said the government-backed contract, operated since 2014, had become financially unsustainable. The withdrawal will also end services linking Dundee with the Orkney and Shetland Islands at Kirkwall and Sumburgh respectively. Loganair currently operates between Dundee and Heathrow twice daily on weekdays and once daily on Sundays with ATR42-500s, according to ch-aviation data.
