SCAT Airlines (DV, Shymkent) will restore scheduled flights to Arkalyk on September 1, 2026, returning the northern Kazakh airport to scheduled passenger service after more than three decades. The airline will operate 2x weekly subsidised services linking Arkalyk with Almaty International, Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev, and Kostanay. The airport has been inactive since 1993 and underwent reconstruction before reopening in August. SCAT Airlines flew CRJ200 UP-CJ004 (msn 7901) to the airport on August 22, which marked the first landing at the aerodrome post-reconstruction.

Separately, Pavlodar reopened to scheduled traffic on August 22 following runway reconstruction. Starting September 1, Vietjet Qazaqstan, FlyArystan, and S7 Airlines will mount flights to the airport from Astana, Almaty, and Novosibirsk, respectively.
