Boeing (BOE, Washington National) has paid fines worth USD3.1 million to the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) over safety violations. The sum includes violations linked to the 2024 Alaska Airlines emergency when a B737-9 door plug blew out mid-flight. The transaction took place in January, but the fine had not been disclosed earlier.

The FAA proposed the fine in September 2025 and the total figure represents the maximum civil penalties allowed by law. Earlier, a court dropped a lawsuit from shareholders accusing Boeing executives of ignoring safety concerns.
