The United States Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has proposed a new rule to establish permanent airspace restrictions around West Palm Beach President Donald J. Trump International at the request of the United States Secret Service, citing national security concerns related to President Donald Trump's non-governmental property in Florida. This would set a flight restriction up to 2,000 feet (610 metres) above mean sea level and within a one-nautical-mile (1,850-metre) radius of Mar-a-Lago Club, also Trump's property.

According to the FAA, the restrictions would be established under Part 93 Special Air Traffic Rules (SATR) rather than as a prohibited area, allowing aircraft to continue using runway 10L/28R at President Donald J. Trump International, the airport's main commercial runway among three available. The FAA will accept comments until October 2. Airspace restrictions over Mar-a-Lago have previously been imposed on a temporary basis. In December, Palm Beach County filed a lawsuit challenging the restrictions, arguing that they bypassed required environmental and noise reviews.
