The first of two E190s, long-range variant, which Ghana's Africa World Airlines (AWA) has bought from fellow Fangda Aviation subsidiary Urumqi Air, was delivered to Accra on September 19, 2026, with the second expected before Christmas, the airline confirmed to ch-aviation. 9G-FDA (msn 19000426), formerly B-3179 operated by fellow Fangda carrier GX Airlines (GX, Nanning), was ferried from Astana Nursultan Nazarbayev via Yerevan and Tunis to Accra over two days, according to ADS-B data. The 15.3-year-old airframe had been stored at Haikou since July 28. AWA plans to expand its fleet to up to ten E190s over the next 18 to 24 months.
