Cathay Pacific (CX, Hong Kong International) has agreed with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) to cancel its 2011 order for eight B777Fs. It will instead order three additional B747-8F freighters as part of an agreement with Boeing that will also see the US aircraft manufacturer acquiring four converted B747-400F aircraft from Cathay. Cathay Pacific now has five remaining B747-8(F)s on order and has also secured options for five B777-Fs to be converted at a later stage.
