The local government of Cheongju City, South Korea, will provide KRW1.2 billion won (USD886,000) in incentives to six airlines that designate Cheongju as their principal place of storage for property-tax purposes. The support package covers a total of 66 aircraft, up by three since 2025. The designation determines where aircraft property tax is paid and does not necessarily mean the aircraft are operationally based at Cheongju. The city will reimburse 20% of the tax, rising to 25% for newly registered aircraft. Korean Air, Asiana Airlines, Aero K, Eastar Jet, Jin Air, and Trinity Airways qualify. Cheongju has operated the incentive scheme for several years, as previously reported by ch-aviation.
