The Mexican Federal Civil Aviation Agency (Agencia Federal de Aviación Civil - AFAC) has suspended Guadalajara-based US-MX AirLink's maintenance workshop and temporarily grounded two aircraft operated by the air ambulance specialist following a routine inspection. The grounded aircraft are 1986-built Learjet 35A XA-ALV (msn 35A-596) and 1984-built Citation III XA-GJC (msn 650-0035). AFAC identified gaps in maintenance documentation and processes, including incomplete records of maintenance performed in response to pilot reports, as well as issues within US-MX AirLink's maintenance workshop.

“We take the findings seriously and our job now is to correct every item and provide the corresponding evidence to the authority,” said Jaime Díaz, CEO of US-MX AirLink. “We are responding to every inspection comment, and the two aircraft will return to service when AFAC confirms they meet all requirements.” US-MX AirLink's remaining 11 aircraft continue in service. The company operates under the AOC of Personas y Paquetes Por Aire.
