South Korean lawmakers representing Busan have called on Korean Air to locate the headquarters of post-merger Jin Air in Busan, challenging plans to keep it in Seoul. During a parliamentary audit on October 7, 2026, Korean Air vice-president Choi Jung-ho said the group was discussing the issue with stakeholders, including Busan authorities, without committing to a relocation. State-owned Korea Development Bank said it would support the move if Korean Air and the city reached an agreement. As previously reported by ch-aviation, Jin Air is scheduled to absorb Air Busan and Air Seoul on March 16, 2027.
