Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg) may not receive its first MC-21-300s until after 2030, as Russia prioritises deliveries to flag carrier Aeroflot. Anton Alikhanov, industry and trade minister, said other Russian carriers could expect deliveries only in the early 2030s. The Irkutsk aircraft plant's production programme is now filled through to 2032 following Aeroflot's contract for 90 additional MC-21s.

Ural Airlines previously expected its first three aircraft in 2028. However, chief executive Kirill Skuratov said in July 2026 that the carrier was still negotiating firm contracts for ten MC-21-300s and had no clear delivery dates. Ural Airlines spokesperson Marianna Galagura has now told media that "there is no estimate when our turn will come, probably not anytime soon."
