Air Calédonie (TY, Nouméa Magenta) has secured a six-month extension of the observation period in its court-supervised restructuring, until mid-April 2027. Nouméa Commercial Court approved the extension on October 8, following the opening of restructuring proceedings on April 14. Managing director Daniel Houmbouy said the additional time would allow the airline to finalise its restructuring plan and consolidate operations. The carrier has resumed flights to Île des Pins, Lifou, and Ouvéa following protests over its relocation to Nouméa La Tontouta, but services to Maré remain suspended.
