China Eastern Airlines (MU, Shanghai Hongqiao) on 30 March closed the chapter on another era with the operation of its final CRJ200 service. The Skyteam member inherited its fleet of five CRJ-200s from China Yunnan Airlines (Kunming Wujiaba) which merged into China Eastern Airlines back in 2003. As a result of the CRJ-200 fleet retirement, China Eastern has dropped regional international routes from Nanning to both Phnom Penh and Yangon.
