Okay Airways (BK, Tianjin) has reportedly converted a standing order with Boeing (BOE, Washington National) for three B737-800 WIN.s into three B737-900(ER)s, making it the first Chinese carrier to order the type. In addition, the Chinese carrier, the country's first 100% privately-owned airline founded in 2005, also placed an order with Xian Aircraft Company (Xi'an Yanliang) for fifty Yunshuji Y-7s. Okay currently operates a single B737-300(F), nine B737-800s and eight Yunshuji Y-7s on an exclusively domestic Chinese network. The Export-Import Bank of China and AVIC Leasing will finance the MA-60 turboprops and Okay is planning to move its MA-60 fleet to a new regional carrier to be set-up as a separate entity either also based in Tianjin or Beijing Capital.
