Air Do (HD, Sapporo Chitose) is planning to retire its fleet of six B737-500s by January 2016. The -500s are currently used to serve Fukushima, Kobe, Komatsu, Niigata, Okayama, Sendai, Tokyo Haneda and Toyama. Announcing its 2013-2016 medium-term corporate strategy, the Japanese low-cost carrier also plans to introduce two more 737NG aircraft from 2015 onwards to help with domestic route expansion.
