Skyjet Airlines (MSJ, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has resumed services using a single BAe 146-100, RP-C8538 (msn 1015), which replaced its previous BAe146-200, RP-C5525 (c/n 2031), written off in a landing incident at Balesin Island airstrip in October last year.

The PhilippineFlightNetwork says operations resumed on January 31 with service from Manila Ninoy Aquino International to Basco, Busuanga, and Cuyo. According to SkyJet's new President, Dino Chua, the resumption of Batanes flights allows tourists to experience winter in the region. Flights to Virac and Caticlan are also set to resume later this year.

"The vision of SkyJet remains the same: to offer business-class flights to all niche destinations. We are not a low-cost carrier," said Chua. "SkyJet sells experience, not only seats. We are here to promote destinations and culture and help our government achieve its tourism targets."
