Discovery Air (Lagos) will launch its maiden Lagos to Abuja flights on Monday, June 9, 2014. Having now secured its Air Operators Certificate (AOC) from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the aircraft will operate daily services between the two Nigerian metropolises before expanding its network to include Port Harcourt Awolowo.
Services are on-board three B737-300s of which one is ex-Brussels Airlines (SN, Brussels National) vintage while the other two are ex-bmibaby (Nottingham East Midlands) stock.
Led by Babatunde Babalola, the airline is backed by Nigerian petroleum firm, First Deepwater Discovery.
