CitationAir by Cessna (White Plains) will suspend flight operations on October 31 the AIN newswire has reported. The report states parent Textron Aviation took the decision to wind down the Cessna Aircraft Company (Wichita Cessna Aircraft Field) subsidiary after a thorough analysis of the operator's current, and future, prospects.

“After diligently evaluating options for the future of CitationAir, we have made the decision to wind down our operations and exit the business. Once all of the fractional interests are repurchased from current owners, the aircraft will be handled through the company’s pre-owned aircraft sales department,” a source told AIN.

Using a fleet of approximately 80 Cessna Citation jets, CitationAir provides private aviation services via fractional jet ownership, jet card membership, corporate solutions and whole aircraft management.
