Aruba Airlines (AG, Aruba) has applied to the US Department of Transportation (DOT) for a Foreign Carrier Permit to commence scheduled and charter flights from points behind Aruba via Aruba and intermediate points to cities in the United States and beyond.

According to its filing, the carrier plans to serve Florida initially with other destinations to follow.

At present, the Aruban carrier serves Maracaibo, Maracay Mariscal Sucre, Puerto Cabello and Valencia Arturo Michelena International in Venezuela along with Cancún and Panamá City Tocumen International using a fleet of five A320-200s, three of which are leased from Lithuania's Avion Express (X9, Vilnius).
