Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) will reduce its flights to Russia over the coming two months as a result of low demand and a sliding Russian Rouble.
Central Asian Aero News says the Uzbek carrier will reduce its 3x weekly flights to the Russian cities of Samara Kurumoch, Tyumen Roschino, Volgograd and Rostov Platov to 2x weekly effective next month.
Russian carriers such as Aeroflot (SU, Moscow Sheremetyevo), Ural Airlines (U6, Ekaterinburg), Gazpromavia (4G, Moscow Ostafyevo), S7 Airlines (S7, Novosibirsk), Transaero Airlines (Moscow Vnukovo), and UTair (UT, Khanty-Mansiysk) are expected to reciprocate in kind but have yet to confirm any such move.
