Oman Air (WY, Muscat) has ended ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) operations following ATR42-500 A4O-AT (cn 576)'s last commercial flight on November 30, 2015.
The twinprop was last used on 12x weekly return flights between Muscat and Khasab, an Omani exclave surrounded by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
As of December 1, said flights have now been taken over by the airline's fleet of four E175s which are also due to be retired in the near future.
The Omani national carrier is in the process of reducing the overall number of types of aircraft it operates while replacing them bigger, more cost effective types such as the B737 and B787.
