Spring Airlines (9C, Shanghai Hongqiao) has signed a firm order agreement with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for sixty A320neo Family aircraft scheduled to be delivered from 2019 through to 2023. According to a Shanghai Stock Exchange disclosure, the order entails forty-five A320neo and fifteen A321neo twinjets.

Funding for the order will come via internal reserves, bank loans and/or financial instruments.

A day earlier, the Chinese LCC announced it had secured regulatory approval to raise up to CNY4.5 billion (USD725 million) through the private placement of 3.84 billion Class A shares. The funds will be used to finance the purchase of twenty-one A320ceo, the upgrading of its IT infrastructure, and to equip its current A320 fleet with WiFi internet connectivity.
