Sunrise Airways (S6, Port au Prince) will wet-lease its first ATR42-300 from DAT - Danish Air Transport (Kolding) with the aircraft scheduled to be delivered to Haiti before the end of the month.

In a transaction arranged by Skyworld Aviation, an ex-Pascan Aviation (P6, Montréal MET) ATR42-300(QC) (msn 112) has been added to DAT's fleet as OY-CIU and placed on a long-term contract with Sunrise Airways until the end of 2017. It is DAT's only current wet-lease contract in the Caribbean.

As reported by ch-aviation earlier, Sunrise plans to add new routes from Port au Prince to destinations such as Havana International, Kingston Norman Manley, Nassau International and Providenciales.
