TransNusa (8B, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) has temporarily suspended ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) passenger operations following an incident at Jakarta Halim involving its only ATR42-600, PK-TNJ (cn 1015), on Monday, April 4.

The incident occurred when a Batik Air (ID, Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta) B737-800, on takeoff roll on runway 24, struck and severely damaged the turboprop's vertical stabilizer and left wing as it was being towed across the active runway. The B737's port-side winglet also sustained significant damage. It is currently uncertain whether either aircraft will be returned to service.

Indonesia's Ministry of Transport has suspended Jasa Angkasa Semesta's (JAS) ground-handling operations at Halim airport while it carries out an investigation.

TransNusa, which has options for three more ATR42-600s, also operates one BAe 146-100, one BAe 146-200, four Fokker 50s, and one Fokker 70 on scheduled passenger flights around Indonesia.
