Nextjet Canada (Vancouver International) has yet to resume operations despite earlier plans to relaunch flights during the first week of September.

A virtual carrier, Nextjet commenced flights in May connecting Peterborough, ON to Gatineau, Kitchener, and Montréal Trudeau using Beech 1900Cs and Beech (twin turboprop) King Airs chartered from Propair (PRO, Rouyn) and Bearskin Airlines (JV, Sioux Lookout).

However, services were suspended in July when demand proved insufficient to warrant continued operations. Nextjet intended to use the downtime to reconfigure its business model and resume flights on Sunday, September 4.

According to the Peterborough Examiner, the carrier has yet to file any flight plans and it is uncertain, when, if ever, it will return.
