Lucky Air (China) (8L, Dali) has opened a branch company in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, to cater to the Central China market.

During a press conference held last week, the HNA Group unit signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement with Henan Airport Group involving base management, and capacity growth delivery (international growth in particular).

Under the terms of the agreement, the LCC will base three B737-800s out of Zhengzhou initially growing to twenty by at least 2020-25.

At present, Lucky Air connects Zhengzhou with thirteen other destinations across China but, in line with its recently unveiled growth policy, will focus on adding new routes to the South (East) Asian, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese, Hong Kong, and Macao regional markets.
