Aeromar Airlines (México City International) has signed a firm order agreement with ATR - Avions de Transport Régional (EVX, Toulouse Blagnac) involving six ATR72-600s and two ATR42-600s. The deal also includes options for six additional ATR72-600s.
The first of the new turboprops will arrive later next month with the ATR42-600s featuring forty-eight seats while the ATR 72-600s will offer seventy-two.
The Mexican domestic operator plans to use the turboprops to progressively replace and upgrade its current fleet, which, according to the ch-aviation aircraft database, currently includes four ATR42-300s, ten ATR42-500s, one ATR42-600, and two ATR72-600s.
