Philippine Airlines (PR, Manila Ninoy Aquino International) has outlined its proposed Angeles City Clark International hub operations as part of government's overall plan to decongest Manila Ninoy Aquino International, located just 90 kilometres away.
Beginning December 16, Philippine Airlines will offer a 7x weekly return service from Clark to Caticlan using DHC-8-400 equipment. The flights will benefit residents in Northern Metro Manila and Luzon due to the proximity of Clark International Airport to these areas.
"We are translating into action our commitment to operate new flights out of Clark," PAL President and COO Jaime J. Bautista said. "This is a step in the right direction as it enables us to address the needs of our market in Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela City (CAMANAVA), Central and Northern Luzon areas. We are working hand in hand with Clark authorities as we prepare for our Clark operations."
The COO added that more flights from Clark to other domestic and international stations would be announced in due course.
