Great Lakes Airlines (Cheyenne) owes Cheyenne Regional Airport almost USD80,000, reports The Wyoming Tribune Eagle. The debt is for rent in arrears for the period December 2016 to April 2017.
Cheyenne Regional Airport Director of Aviation, Tim Barth, said that the airline was working on a solution through a refinancing package.
"We've always had great communication with [Great Lakes]," Barth is reported as saying. "We will continue working toward a successful resolution."
Chairman of Great Lakes Airlines, Doug Voss, admitted that the carrier had reduced its footprint at the airport, but said it was a normal part of cash flow highs and lows.
"It's not the kind of thing we normally talk about in public. Quite honestly, I think we would prefer to say 'no comment,'" he said.
Great Lakes serves thirteen destinations in the United States using its fleet of E120s and Beech 1900Ds.
