Turkish Airlines (TK, Istanbul Airport) has announced it has established a wholly-owned real estate investment company. In a filing to the Borsa Istanbul last week, the carrier said "THY Havaalanı Gayrimenkul Yatırım ve İşletme Anonim Şirketi" (THY Airport Real Estate Investment and Operation A.Ş.) would operate principally in the fields of airport operations and investments.

The firm has already been registered with the Istanbul Trade Registry Office with a cash capital of TRY50,000 Turkish lira.
