Donavia (Rostov on Don) has reverted back to using its old name after having operated as Aeroflot-Don for several years. Aeroflot (SU/Moscow Sheremetyevo) has approved its new business plan that will see Donavia retire its remaining Tu-134s this month and Tu-154Ms as soon as possible. Donavia will continue to codeshare with Aeroflot and will operate some services on behalf of its parent. It has been forced to give up its Rostov-Tel Aviv Ben Gurion route on July 2 after the Israeli authorities have banned air services from the South of Russia to Israel because of security concerns. Donavia will launch twice weekly B737-500 service from Adler/Sochi to Yerevan on October 28.
