OLT Express Germany (Bremen Hans Koschnick) is the new name of the regional flights division of OLT - Ostfriesische Lufttransport (Emden) that has been adapted after the division has been taken over by Polish investor Amber Gold. OLT had announced before that it would suspend its scheduled flights from Bremen following the loss of its contract with Airbus for the corporate shuttle services between Hamburg Finkenwerder and Toulouse that would have caused further financial difficulties. OLT’s six smaller aircraft, 1 Cessna 208, 3 Islanders, 1 Airvan and 1 Cessna 172, will remain with the original owner AG Ems that will also continue to offer scheduled services from Bremerhaven and Heide/Büsum to Helgoland and from Emden to Borkum. Amber Gold has also acquired Polish regional carrier Jet Air (Poland) and has rebranded it as OLT Jetair (O2/Warsaw) now. OLT Express has reactivated its single Saab 340 and has launched new routes: Bremen-Brussels Ntl: 5x weekly Jetstream 32 has resumed on (operated by OLT Jetair) has started on October 31 Gdansk-Bremen-Brussels Ntl: 4x weekly Saab 2000 service has started on November 2 Hamburg Fuhlsbüttel-Gdansk: 6x weekly Saab 2000 service has started on November 15 In 2012, OLT Express will operate from Basle/Mulhouse, Munich and Vienna to Heringsdorf between June 2 and September 30. The routes from Berne, Cologne/Bonn, Frankfurt Intl and Zurich will be served by Air Berlin (AB/Berlin Tegel) and Helvetic Airways (2L/Zurich) next summer season. Bremerhaven airport will be closed in 2014 with all scheduled services and general aviation expected to move to Nordholz-Spieka, about 30 kilometres north of the city.
