Binter Canarias (NT, Gran Canaria) has established Canarias Airlines (Las Palmas) as a new subsidiary operating two ATR 72-500s on behalf of the carrier, mainly between Las Palmas and Tenerife Norte. Binter Canarias has previously already outsourced a lot of its operations to Naysa Aerotaxis (ZN/Las Palmas) and has created further tensions with its trade unions following the set-up of Canarias Airlines as a new lower cost operator.
