Blue Air (Romania) (BLA, Bucharest Henri Coanda) has announced it will enter the coveted United Kingdom leisure market with services from London Heathrow to Nice starting on September 16, 2021.

According to the ch-aviation schedules module, the Romanian LCC will initially operate 2x weekly using B737-800 aircraft. The frequency will increase to 4x weekly as of October 1.

The route will be Blue Air's first that does not touch its two core markets, Italy and Romania. Currently, it serves London from four cities in Romania: Bucharest Henri Coanda (Heathrow and London Luton), Cluj-Napoca, Iasi (both to Heathrow), and Bacau (Luton). Its only flights to Nice are from Bucharest.

The London-Nice market is currently served by British Airways and easyJet.
