Uzbekistan Airways (HY, Tashkent International) says it has acquired its first PC-12 as part of plans to enter the business aviation niche.

“Uzbekistan Airways has started operating the first aircraft of the Swiss firm Pilatus Aircraft (PCH, Buochs), the Pilatus PC-12,” it said in a brief statement.

The state-owned carrier has reportedly acquired two of the eight-seaters, although their identities have yet to be revealed.

Uzbekistan Airways currently offers VIP services for the government with two ACJ320-200s, one B787-8, and one B767-300ER. The country does not have any private operators active in the business/private VIP charter segment.
