Denmark's Global Reach Aviation obtains own AOC
04.05.2023 - 12:51 UTCGlobal Reach Aviation (HMR, Billund) has obtained its own Air Operator's Certificate - DK.AOC.089 - from the Danish Transport Authority (Trafikstyrelsen) as a step towards greater operational independence.
"It's quite an achievement, and we are so proud that we now have our own AOC. We are now masters of our own house. This gives us freedom and many opportunities. At the same time, it is a responsibility we have been ready to take on for a long time," Chief Executive and owner Jacob Rasmussen said.
The passenger charter specialist operates one CRJ200LR and one CRJ900LR, the ch-aviation fleets advanced module shows. The aircraft are based out of Billund but are available for charters around Europe. Until the end of April, both aircraft were operated by Copenhagen AirTaxi (CAT, Copenhagen Roskilde). Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows that the first flight under Global Reach Aviation's own code is scheduled to be operated by CRJ200 OY-CRJ (msn 7384) on May 5 from Billund to Düsseldorf and Bologna.

Denmark's Airseven takes first B737-800
09.12.2022 - 09:31 UTCAirseven (Copenhagen Roskilde) has taken delivery of its first B737-800 and plans to add a second by the end of the year, according to the local news aviation website Check-in.dk.
OY-ASD (msn 29674) was ferried from storage at Woensdrecht to Copenhagen Roskilde on December 2, 2022, but has yet to be inducted into service. The 13-year-old jet is owned by Air Lease Corporation and was originally delivered to Norwegian (Oslo Gardermoen) before heading to Ukraine International Airlines (PS, Kyiv Boryspil).
The aircraft will be operated on behalf of the virtual leisure carrier by Copenhagen AirTaxi (CAT, Copenhagen Roskilde).
Airseven is owned by tour operator Primo Tours and currently has three B737-400s in its fleet, all three of which are also operated by Copenhagen Air Taxi. The virtual carrier did not respond to ch-aviation's query on whether the -800s would replace any of the -400s or be added on top of them to the fleet.
