Sky High Aviation Services (Santo Domingo Las Américas) is set to induct two E190s to expand its network to new markets, including the United States.

The first of the two Embraer regional jets, P4-KCK (msn 19000657), was ferried from Bydgoszcz Ignacy Jan Paderewski via Reykjavik Keflavik, Hamilton, ON, and Boston to Macon Regional, likely for the final pre-delivery maintenance, over the course of April 1-3, 2022. The 8.1-year-old ex-Air Astana aircraft owned by TrueNoord is already painted in Sky High's livery but was ferried still under its Kazakh registration.

Skyliner-Aviation has reported that VP-CBZ (msn 19000537), another ex-Air Astana unit, although slightly older (9.9 years of age) and owned by Nordic Aviation Capital, has already been repainted at Bydgoszcz airport. It has yet to be ferried to the Dominican Republic.

Sky High Aviation Services did not respond to ch-aviation's request for comment.

The carrier signalled its growth ambitions in December 2021, when it applied for an amended US Foreign Air Carrier Permit allowing the use of E190s, A320s, and A321s. The US Department of Transportation has yet to respond to the application in any way.

The airline's current fleet comprises two E145s deployed on charter routes.
