AeroItalia (XZ, Rome Fiumicino) has outlined its initial scheduled network out of Forli geared towards leisure destinations with flights poised to debut on July 9, 2022.
The Italian start-up will connect the northern Italian city with the following destinations:
- Alghero (2x weekly),
- Brindisi (4x weekly),
- Catania (3x weekly),
- Lamezia Terme (2x weekly),
- Lampedusa (2x weekly),
- Malta International (3x weekly),
- Naples Capodichino (4x weekly),
- Olbia (4x weekly), and
- Trapani (2x weekly).
All flights will be operated with a B737-800. AeroItalia currently operates a single unit of the type, 9H-CRI (msn 30567), which is deployed on ACMI and charter operations. It plans to have six B737-800s in its fleet by mid-2022. At that point, it will operate a mix of charters and scheduled flights out of Forli. In the long run, AeroItalia plans to establish a base at Foggia Gino Lisa in southern Italy, as well as other bases outside of its home market. The latter will cater predominantly to the leisure charter market.
