Following an outbreak of COVID-19, Nauru Airlines (ON, Nauru) has suspended passenger services into the tiny island country in Micronesia, northeast of Australia.

The airline announced it has suspended scheduled passenger services to Nauru for the next two weeks, or as further advised. Nauru Airlines normally serves Nauru from Brisbane Int'l in Australia using a B737-300, according to ch-aviation schedules data.

Air freight services to Nauru continue as normal, the airline said in a statement.

According to the World Health Organisation's COVID-19 dashboard, Nauru on June 23 recorded 35 new cases within the last 24 hours, totalling 385 cases since January 2020, and zero deaths. About 23,000 vaccinations have been administered amongst its population of about 11,000 people.
