Sky Cana (RD, Santo Domingo Las Américas) has increased the number of aircraft it wet-leases from Avion Express Malta (4X, Malta International) under a long-term agreement to five, adding the first two A320-200s to the previously sourced three A321-200s.

9H-MLD (msn 3601) and 9H-MLV (msn 4118) were ferried from Düsseldorf via Reykjavik Keflavik and Halifax to Puerto Plata over the course of November 13-14, 2022, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows. Both aircraft are painted in Sky Cana's liveries, advertising destinations in the Dominican Republic, and will be placed on the AOC of Sky Cana's commercial partner, Air Century (Y2, Santo Domingo La Isabela). While Sky Cana has its own permit, it is not authorised to operate passenger flights to the US with large aircraft.

The three A321-200s will continue operating on behalf of Sky Cana through Air Century. While the aircraft primarily fly for the Dominican carrier, they also operate a limited number of flights on behalf of Haiti's Sunrise Airways (S6, Port au Prince), connecting Port au Prince with Santo Domingo Las Américas and destinations in Cuba.

The Haitian carrier separately entered into a code-share agreement with Cubana (CU, Havana International), which covers all of its Haiti-Cuba services out of Havana International, Camagüey, Santiago de Cuba, and Holguin. Cubana's fleet is currently nearly wholly grounded. It appears to be using a single ATR42-500 wet-leased from fellow state-owned carrier Aerogaviota (GTV, Havana International) to operate domestic flights and also wet-leases an A340-300 from Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas (PU, Madrid Barajas) to operate services to Madrid Barajas.
