Icelandair (FI, Reykjavik Keflavik) launched revenue B767-300ER(BCF) operations with its first on December 8, 2022, and is looking to add a second of the type in time for the April 2023 start of a new cargo route to Los Angeles International.

TF-ISH (msn 28883) was redelivered to the carrier post-conversion in late November 2022. An ex-TUI fly (Germany) aircraft owned by Titan Aircraft Investments, a joint venture of Bain Capital (a minority shareholder in Icelandair Group) and Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings' leasing unit Titan Aviation Holdings, it is currently deployed out of Reykjavik Keflavik to Liège, Chicago O'Hare, and New York JFK.

The second B767, N2697L (msn 26971), remains under P2F conversion at Singapore Paya Lebar but will be redelivered to the airline shortly. Contrary to the first aircraft, which never flew in a passenger configuration for Icelandair, the second one was operated by the airline as a B767-300ER between 2016 and 2022. It was sold to Titan Aircraft Investments and will be leased back by the airline.

Icelandair said the B767 freighters will double its cargo capacity compared to its two B757s (one B757-200(PF) and B757-200(PCF)) and will also allow it to expand its cargo network to new points thanks to their superior range. Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows that both B757s are deployed exclusively to Liége (although one has been parked at Keflavik airport since December 14, 2022). The airline also carries cargo on board its passenger aircraft.
