Hawaiian Airlines parks two A321neo due to engine issues
07.02.2023 - 00:05 UTCHawaiian Airlines (HA, Honolulu) has parked two A321-200Ns due to engine maintenance events and supply chain constraints that have affected its ability to replace the powerplants, Hawaiian Holdings Chief Executive Peter Ingram said during the carrier's annual earnings call.
"We have encountered constraints on the availability of A321 engines, for which the Pratt & Whitney MRO supply chain has been unable to keep pace. When a second ATR72-600C arrives, in time for an uptick in flights scheduled to start on March 20, services will expand to Moorea, Nuku Hiva, and Atuona.
French Polynesia is emerging as a minor hotbed of airline activity. In addition to Air Moana making it to launch stage and Air Bora Bora securing its air carrier's licence in December 2022, FLY CORALway, Islands Airline, and Motu Link Airline are at...
