Sweden's Braathens International Airways adds first A320
02.10.2023 - 06:21 UTCBraathens International Airways (TT, Stockholm Bromma) has taken delivery of its first A320-200, namely SE-RGF (msn 3240), ahead of its planned launch of charter flights for Nordic tour operator Apollo in early October.
The 16.1-year-old aircraft leased from DAE Capital was ferried from storage at Marana via Tucson International, Bangor, and Reykjavik Keflavik to Ostrava for maintenance and repainting. ch-aviation research shows it was already registered in Sweden as of September 29. The aircraft's last operator was Ultra Air.
Braathens International Airways, which is a new AOC for BRA - Braathens Regional Airlines, plans to add two A320s for the winter season charter deal with Apollo. The carrier's current fleet comprises four A319-100s, which are deployed mainly on leisure charters. It also operates a single scheduled route, Stockholm Bromma-Malmö, on behalf of its parent. Sister carrier BRA - Braathens Regional Airways operates thirteen ATR72-600s, plying domestic routes for its parent company.
