Türkiye's AJet to launch as standalone airline in late 1Q24
27.11.2023 - 06:02 UTCAJet Air Transportation, the rebranded AnadoluJet (TK, Ankara Esenboga), will launch as a standalone carrier at the end of March 2024. The low-cost carrier will remain a wholly-owned subsidiary of Turkish Airlines.
The Turkish flag carrier unveiled the future branding of the new unit during an event on November 24. The first A321-200NX, TC-LUC (msn 10275), has already been repainted into the new livery, although it has yet to re-enter revenue service.

The November 21 rotation was flown to Amman, while further flights remain cancelled. The airline also removed its planned services from Katowice, due to launch in mid-December 2023, from the internet booking engine. Meanwhile, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, which connected the Jordanian leisure destination with Abu Dhabi International, began flying to Amman instead on November 19.
There is no current operational or safety NOTAM affecting the airlines' ability to fly to Aqaba. The Jordanian airport is located just two kilometres from the Israeli border but around...
