Maastricht Airlines (Maastricht) has filed for bankruptcy on Wednesday, May 29 according to an announcement made by Chief Executive Officer Hamid Kerboua to its staff. The carrier had plans to launch regional services from Maastricht to Amsterdam Schiphol, Berlin Tegel and Munich from the end of March. It had previously however already postponed the launch of its services several times citing maintenance issues with its proposed fleet of two Fokker 50s and has never taken off.
